Uninterrupted learning. Real rest. A community that doesn’t need the backstory before it understands your work

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a specific certification to attend?
No. The Doula Cruise is open to postpartum doulas, newborn care specialists, and anyone supporting families postpartum, trained through any organization.
Will this count toward continuing education (CE) requirements?
This gathering is currently structured as professional development rather than formally accredited CE hours. If CE credit matters for your certification, check with your certifying organization about what they accept – and stay tuned, as we may pursue formal accreditation for a future cruise.
How much does it cost, and what's included?

Conference registration is $325 Early bird special and covers sessions. Your cabin/cruise fare is separate and booked directly through the cruise travel agent – pricing is still being finalized, but Doula Cruise attendees will get special group pricing on the cruise itself.

Where does the ship depart from, and what airport should I fly into?
We’re sailing with Royal Caribbean out of Tampa, FL. Two airports serve the area – Tampa International (TPA) and St. Pete–Clearwater International (PIE), so you have options depending on flights and price.
Is the whole ship just for our group?
No – we’re not chartering the ship exclusively. You’ll be sailing alongside other passengers and groups too. Our sessions and gatherings are just for Doula Cruise attendees, but the rest of the ship – pools, dining, entertainment – is shared with everyone aboard.
Will I be able to stay in touch with clients back home?
Yes. The ship offers Wi-Fi packages, so you can choose to stay reachable or fully unplug for a few days – totally up to you.
What if I've never been on a cruise before?
Many attendees haven’t. We’ll send a full first-timer’s guide – what to pack, how boarding works, and what to expect to everyone who registers.
Can I bring a partner or friend who isn't a postpartum professional?
Yes. Non-attendee guests can join for the cruise portion at a separate rate; they won’t be included in education sessions.
Can I book the cruise portion through my own travel agent?
No, please book through Christina, our contracted travel agent. She’s the only one who can add you to our group block, and conference access is tied to being part of that block.
Christina is highly ranked nationally and can match or beat outside pricing, so you won’t lose anything by booking with her. If you happen to find a lower price elsewhere, just send her the details and she’ll try to match it. She can also help pair up roommates within our group once you’ve signed up.
