Pediatric Sleep Coaching, Austin

Virtual support offered in central and eastern time zones.
Every baby is different, and so is every family. My pediatric sleep coaching gives you personalized, age-appropriate strategies to help your baby, toddler, or young children develop healthy sleep habits, whether you’re navigating newborn sleep, frequent night waking, early rising, or bedtime battles. Sleep isn’t one-size-fits-all. Neither is parenting. My job is to help you build a plan that fits your family, not to hand you a script and walk away.
My Approach

Personalized, not prescriptive. I don’t believe in a single “right” way to help a baby sleep. Before I ever put a plan together, I want to hear about your goals, your baby’s temperament, and how you see your own role in the process, including how much crying you can tolerate (we are going to talk about that- because babies cry). That input shapes the plan I build for you. A plan only works if it’s one you can actually live with at 2am, so your comfort level matters just as much as the sleep science behind it.

Why I don’t call anything “gentle.” You won’t hear me label a method “gentle” on this site. That word tends to imply everything else is harsh, and that’s neither fair nor true, not to mention what feels gentle to one baby may not land that way for another. Instead, I talk in terms of how involved you want to be: more interactive or less, more hands-on or more hands-off, staying close by or giving your baby a bit more room. None of those approaches is better than the other on principle. It’s about what actually fits your baby and your family.

Why I won’t promise “no tears.” I also don’t market anything as “no-cry” or “tear-free,” because I don’t think that’s an honest promise to make. Crying is one of the only ways a baby has to say they’re frustrated, angry, or sad. It’s their voice. Learning to sit with that, rather than rushing to shut it down, is part of letting your baby communicate, even when it’s hard on you as the parent. Every baby eventually has to adjust to life outside the womb, where they aren’t held every single minute, because you deserve to sleep too, and no approach gets them there with zero tears. What I can promise is real effort to minimize crying wherever we can, and practical, honest strategies for coping with it when it happens, so you’re not white-knuckling it alone.

Why guidance matters. There’s no shortage of sleep tips online, and for some families, piecing it together alone works just fine. But most of the parents I work with have already tried that and are still stuck, exhausted, and unsure whether their baby is even capable of sleeping well. What I bring isn’t just a plan, it’s the guidance and support to carry it out and adjust it as things come up. My goal is to help you go from believing your baby can’t sleep without you to feeling rested, confident, and genuinely proud of the sleep habits you both built together.

Safety-conscious and evidence-based. Every recommendation I make, from sleep spaces to products to methods, is grounded in the current safe sleep guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Collaborative. I’m the expert on infant and toddler sleep. You’re the expert on your baby. I’m not here to tell you what to do as a parent. I’m here to help you figure out what you want to do, and then support you in doing it well. My goal isn’t just better sleep for your family, it’s helping you trust your own instincts and believe in your baby’s ability to learn this.
